Recent Raleigh, North Carolina estate find. An absolutely stunning late 19th or early 20th century tea service set made by George Jones & Sons, Ltd.Excellent overall condition with only a few slight inclusions; the serving tray shows some transparent crazing, two saucers have micro chips near the rim only seen on the underside, there are a couple of darker specks in the glaze (production flaws) and one cup and saucer set shows some light staining. These blemishes can be seen in the 12th photo. Other than these minor issues, this set looks spectacular; no other condition issues.
The back stamp on these pieces date from 1891 to 1921 (the platter is not marked and the creamer does have a slightly different Gorge Jones & Sons mark). The platter measures approximately 19 3/4" by 14 1/2" and the saucers measure 5 1/2. All other measurements can be seen in the 11th photo.
Please review all pictures for design, dimensions and condition. As mentioned, photos do contain measurements and price listed in for all four cup and saucer sets, the serving tray, teapot, open sugar bowl, and creamer.
