Antique W. H. Grindley China Idris (flow Blue) England Set Of 14 Pieces

GRINDLEY "IDRIS" - FLOW BLUE. These 14 flow blue porcelain dishes have a green backstamp that was in use between 1914 and 1925 by the W. Grindley China Company in England (see photos). The pattern name, Idris, is stamped in blue on the back of some of the pieces (see photos).

The pattern is sometimes called The Olympic. Included in the set are these pieces.

2 dinner plates - 10. 2 cups & 2 saucers. 2 bread & butter plates - 5.75. 2 coupe soup bowls - 7.75. 2 dessert bowls - 5.25.

1 oval relish dish - 8.5. 1 oval vegetable bowl - 9. The dishes have scratches from use and some are crazed. The gold trim appears intact on some pieces, slightly rubbed off on other pieces. One soup bowl has a glazing flaw to the right of the clover leaves at the top of the bowl (see close-up photo).
