D Jones, AYNSLEY FRUIT ORCHARD TEA SET CUP SAUCER VINTAGE, signed

Antique AYNSLEY hand painted "Fruit Orchard" tea cup and saucer. The stunning hand painted lucious fruit is enhanced with gilding which graces the center of the saucer as well as the bowl of the tea cup.

Each piece is signed by noted Aynsley artist, Doris Jones D. Jones who was active between 1938 to 1969. Aynsley green ink backstamp on each piece.

Tamps confirm the date to be 1939 - 1950. The condition appears to be very good, rings brightly when tapped. The painted and gilded finishes are both beautiful. The fruit is lush and ripe, portrayed in rich jewel-like colors that nearly glow on the elevated pedestal on the gilded foot.
