The pattern is Old Imari 1128, introduced in 1901 and still one of the most popular patterns. It features a bold floral and geometric design decorated in cobalt blue, rich iron red and heavy 22 karat gold. All of the pieces are in excellent condition and appear unused.

I looked for any imperfections, but everything looks as though it was gently stored. Each place setting has one dinner plate (10 1/2" with a 1 3/4" border), one salad plate (8 1/2"), one bread or dessert plate (6 1/4"), one flat cup (2 5/8") and one saucer (5 3/4").

All of the pieces of china bear the red Royal Crown Derby, English Bone China. Most have the XL11 mark, designating production year of 1979, but there are a few exceptions: 1977, 1979, and 1980's. A beautiful SET of china in an age old pattern.
