The Beatrice by GRINDLEY 44 Piece China Dish Set Tunstall England Vintage #92
This is a beautiful Beatrice dish set made in England. Please keep in mind that this set is mainly a display but is still in usable condition.
This is a vintage set and is in used condition. There are minor surface scratches from silverware and what not due to the use over the years. Some have chips and they are all pretty small, but do very in size. They are all pictured well. The dishes will need cleaned and some appear to have a more yellow tone to them then others. The designs are bright and elegant. Below is the list of all the dishes and their conditions. This set is highly collectable. Replacements are not cheap by no means. This set is being listed for a great price so get it while it lasts! 7 footed cup and saucer sets. The cups stand about 2.5" tall at the handle and 3.75" wide. The saucers are about 5.75 wide. The saucers: 3 have a chip and blue stamp, 1 has no chips and blue stamp, and 3 have no chips and colorful stamp.They are minor chips but are there and being listed as so. The cups: 1 has no chips and colorful stamp, 2 have no chips with the embossed stamp, 1 has minor chipping and an embossed stamp, 2 have minor chipping and colored stamps, 1 has chipping no visible stamp, but the number 172 in red font. There is a spot where it looks like there is an attempted embedding but its not very visible and not readable on that one.
Please see pictures for visual stamps. One of the cups has the design more faded than the others on the inside of the cup. They are in as pictured condition. 3 extra saucers with no cups to go with. All 3 of these have chipping as shown.They all have the colored stamp as pictured. The chips are on the underside of the lip and become almost unseen once set on the table and looking down.
7 6.25 saucer plates. One of these has a dark spot on it as shown in the pictures. Its a discoloration around a dot in the glass. Not sure what it is.
Out of them all, 3 have chipping and a colored stamp. 2 have chipping and a blue stamp. 1 has a hairline crack on both sides and a blue stamp.
1 has no chips and a colored stamp. 2 6.75" wide bowls that stand about 1.75" tall.1 has a colored stamp and the other has a blue stamp. They do have a couple manufacture flaws. 1 10" platter that is 8.5" wide. No chips and has a colored stamp. 1 12" platter that is 10.25" wide.
It has a very small hairline crack on the underside near the edge as pictured. It has a colored stamp.Both platters are in as pictured condition. 7 8 plates that all have beautiful vibrant color. 5 have no chips and a colored label, 1 has chipping and a colored label, and 1 has chipping and a blue label.
All 7 are in as pictured condition. 2 plates have some surface porcelain spider crackling as shown. 1 does have a decent chip out of the top edge as shown. Out of them all, 5 of these plates have chipping and a colored stamp, 1 has chipping and a blue stamp and 3 have no chips and a colored stamp.
These are in as pictured condition. There are a total of 44 pieces in this set.
Out of this set, 27 of them have minor damage of some sort. All chips are pictured and most of them are on the under side of the dish, unless pictured or described otherwise. 17 pieces are undamaged from chips or cracks. All in all, this is a really beautiful and rare set to to find together. Please see all pictures for accurate visual description and zoom in if need be.
