This is a complete vintage Furnivals "Quail" dinnerware set, made in England, featuring the warm brown transferware quail scene on a soft cream background. According to the family, it was bought as a special gift using the owner's husband's first work bonus, making it a cherished and well-loved set that was used and enjoyed rather than kept away. The set includes service for eight along with matching serving pieces: dinner plates, side plates, bowls, cups and saucers, two serving bowls, an oval platter, a round platter, a gravy boat with underplate, a cream and sugar set, and salt and pepper shakers.
