ZODIAC SET OF 12 PLATES Jan-Dec of ROYAL DOULTON Fine Bone China ENGLAND
This gorgeous Complete Set of #12 Royal Doulton Fine Bone China (England) Zodiac Plates was acquired 48 years ago as a wedding gift--1974. It is without any damage, chips, or cracks, because we never did use them, for fear of damaging them. All we've done was to carefully store them.
1/4 diameter & each weighs 1. 1/4 lbs; all #12 monthly plates weigh together 15. Look over all the photos as part of the description--enlarge, enhance, magnify them--to judge for yourself the absolute fine quality & beauty of the different Zodiac symbols on each of 12 plates. The decor around the rims is also amazing, giving the months & symbols all around the rims.
I have recently found out that these Zodiac Sets of plates were MADE ONLY BETWEEN 1971 & 1974--so that is how RARE these are, that they were made for only those 4 years! This is so unusual to have a Complete Set of #12 plates--1 for each month & its individual Zodiac symbol--that a collector of this type of dinner plates of Royal Doulton Fine Bone China with English backstamp would be ecstatic to find in this mint condition & unused, free of flaws! Basically, if you're not happy, then I'm not happy.
